The John White Memorial Cup: Staff v Teachers Match
To finish out Active Week 2025, the CBS Secondary were delighted to have their annual Staff v 6th Year Match last Thursday, with The John White Memorial Cup, in memory of our late friend and colleague, up for grabs. As the sun shone, and the match progressed, with a notable goal from ‘Man of the Match’ Mr Walsh, the atmosphere was one of congeniality and fun. While staff fought a hard battle, ultimately it was the sixth years who reigned victorious, with Patrick Hanrahan accepting the cup as team captain. Once again, it was a fantastic day, and who knows, it might be the turn of staff next year!

Continued Chemistry Success for CBS Mitchelstown
Huge congratulations to CBS 6th year student A.J. Coughlan on his outstanding performance in the national Chemistry Olympiad, which included the top students from north and south. A.J. received the high commendation award, one of just 6 to do so.
