CBS Sporting Year off to a great start!
The past week once again proved that the sporting year in CBS Mitchelstown is really proving positive across all the sports and ages so far, with the senior footballers adding to the winning streak on Tuesday , having secured a great win against Bantry on a scoreline of 5-12 to 1-3. The U16.5 hurlers joined them last week, securing a win against Charleville CBS, finishing with 1.17 to 1.12, while the first years, in their Blitz in Glanworth last week, won all three of their matches against Coláiste Fionnchua, Mitchelstown, Coláiste an Chraoibhín, Fermoy and Boherbue Comprenensive respectively. 2022/23 is looking to be a great year for sport in the school!
The TYs from CBS Mitchelstown had two great hands-on days over the last week, with a trip to the Greenway last week and great morning at the Teamworks workshop, held in the Mitchelstown Leisure Centre on Tuesday 27th.
Caitriona Browne, Parents Council Secretary, making a presentation on behalf of parents to outgoing Chairperson Monica Hodgins in appreciation of her three years leading the Parents Council. New officers as of last week’s AGM are: Emer O’Brien (Chair), Caitriona Browne (Secretary), and Bernard Cronin (Treasurer)
