Picture One to Five
Many thanks to Senator Marie Sherlock and everyone at Dáil Éireann for hosting the Politics & Society students from CBS Mitchelstown and Presentation Mitchelstown, and CBS Student Council reps on Tuesday 21st Feb . The group had an informative historical tour, saw politics in action in the houses, and a few famous faces were even spotted! Two sixth year students, Áine Geary and Chloe Reidy also got to present their report on whether the status of women in society is reflected in the status of women in democracy in Ireland. The report is complied as part of the LC Citizenship Project and accounts for 20% of the total grade.
Pictures Six: The CBS U15 Rugby team were delighted to have had the opportunity to play at halftime during the Ireland v France U20 game in Musgrave Park on Friday 10th February.

Pictures Nine and Ten: The TYs and LCAs from CBS Mitchelstown travelled to the Cycle Against Suicide student congress in the RDS in early February as part of the ‘Headstrong Programme’.
