CBS Sixth Yrs versus Teacher Match
Huge congratulations to the sixth years who narrowly won again the teachers to win the John White Memorial Cup on April 23rd. It was a great game played in great spirit, but was tinted with sadness as this time last year it had the school’s late John White in attendance, a sentiment so well put by Mr Duggan when presenting the cup to captains James and Paul. Well done to all involved.

Mitchelstown CBS were delighted to facilitate a talk on youth mental health with Bressie today, preceded by a panel discussion on the same issue with past pupils Shane Dunne and Mikey Shinnick, Shelley Gray and Willie Ryan. Specific thanks must be given to the organiser of the day, Shane Dunne of MCD, who not only orchestrated the event but also acted as a highly capable and intuitive MC and interviewer. The interviewees, were in turn honest, vulnerable and deeply engaging, touching on topics that are relevant to all, but especially so to our young people. Many thanks also to Presentation Secondary School Mitchelstown for joining the CBS in this timely event.
