CBS U16 ½ Hurlers Continue their Winning Streak with Four in a Row!

On Wednesday 17th of November CBS Mitchelstown played St Joseph’s College Borrisoleigh in the under 16 ½ Munster championship quarter final. The match took place in Borrisoleigh, on a final scoreline of 2:19 to 1:08 to CBS.
The game started well for CBS with Cathal English and Cian Ryan getting the first two points of the game and by the first water break the score was 7 points to 1 for CBS. After the water break another 5 points by CBS were scored and the first goal of the match was scored by Cathal English and by halftime the score was 1:12 to 1:04 in CBS’ favour.
The second half saw Oisin Ryan come on who ended the game with 4 points and saw CBS continue to play well. After the second water break, Conor Walsh scored the second goal, allowing for a tremendous victory to ensue, with CBS winning on a difference of 1 goal and 11 points.
CBS Mitchelstown have now claimed the Munster Championship semi-final spot, where they will play Scariff Community College. The semi-final has a proposed date of the 1st of December, and everyone here in the school wishes them every success.
