CBS Mitchelstown‘s first and second year basketball teams continue their success, with both teams beating Nagle Rice Doneraile last week. The first years won 24-13 and the second years won 28-9. undefeated in the league and top seed for the quarter finals! Congratulations to the teams and their trainers.
CBS Mitchelstown would like to extend their deepest commiserations to their senior footballers and their managers Mr Duggan and Mr Bohane on losing out 2-08 to 2-13 in last Saturday’s All Ireland football
semi final. Though it wasn’t to be on the day, the team can take solace in knowing that they gave their utmost to the very end against a very strong Ashbourne side. The whole school community are immensely proud of all involved for their commitment and reserve, and would like to acknowledge that even though an All Ireland was not to be this year, the campaign was still highly successful, with the school currently reigning Munster Champions. Congratulations to all.
