Learning Support/Resource teacher (Fixed term contract, 22 hours)

Applications are invited from teachers for the post of Learning Support/Resource teacher with additional duties as SEN co-ordinator.

The successful candidate will replace the SEN co-ordinator for the period of her Maternity Leave.  
Qualification in teaching English or Maths is an advantage.  
Experience of working with students who have EBD or Autism diagnosis is a distinct advantage. 
Experience of preparation of IEPs, organising and administering screening assessments, knowledge of best practice in the SEN area and working with an SEN team are also desirable.
 
Duties will include:
  • Teaching in the Multi-Disability class
  • Teaching small-group Learning Support classes
  • Teaching CSPE to Third Year classes
  • Leading the SEN team and the duties associated with this.
