Mitchelstown CBS will host the annual Open Night on Wednesday December 2nd from 6.30pm to 7.45pm, with the Principal's speech at 7.45pm.  An open invitation is extended to all, particularly to fifth and sixth class boys and their parents/guardians.

 

The CBS senior footballers will contest the All-Ireland final of the Eamonn O'Sullivan Cup on March 26th, following their 4-09 to 0-10 win over Dunshaughlin Community College in the semi-final on Satuday March 12th.

 

Congratulations to the CBS Mitchelstown senior hurlers, who came from 6 points down in the second half to defeat Colaiste Chriost Ri by one point in Rathkeale and claim their place in the Munster  final, where they will face Tipperary's Abbey CBS.  The final is provisionally fixed for Thurs. Feb. 25th at 2pm, venue to be confirmed.  Best of luck to the team, Mr. Nash and Mr. Duggan for the final.

The CBS senior hurlers qualified for the Munster B semi-final following a hard-fought win over Colaiste an Spioraid Naoimh on Jan. 15th.  

A large crowd was present at Mitchelstown CBS on Friday last September 30th  as the school honoured students’ achievements in academic excellence, special achievements and community involvement.  Students and immediate past-pupils, parents and family members, staff and special guests were present to recognise achievements from the 2015/16 school year.

Mitchelstown CBS GAA teams have enjoyed a bumper two weeks with victories in Cork and Munster competitions for the Under 14, Under 16 and Under 16 1/2 hurlers, and for the Under 15 footballers.
