CBS says thank you to local sponsor

The students of the CBS Secondary, Mitchelstown would like to express their sincere gratitude to an anonymous local benefactor who recently contributed a very generous sum to the school. The money has been used to purchase a broad selection of books for both junior and senior cycle students. It is hoped that the novels will be used and enjoyed by students for many years to come!

Pictured are a group of first Year students at the school's "Read Wall".  The Read Wall was set up last year as part of the school's Literacy campaign to encourage students to read, both for enjoyment and for the educational benefit of reading.  The books purchased from the sponsorship received recently are recommended reading for the new Junior Cert course, and will be part of what is on offer when the school library is opened in the near future.

Any donations of  suitable books to the school library would be very gratefully received.  Please contact the school at 025 24104 or email cbssecmtown@gmail.com if you wish to be of assistance.
